Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TSPAN2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TSPAN2 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher TSPAN2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TSPAN2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as GBM show a favorable association.
LUAD, GBM, and PDAC are the cancer types where TSPAN2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
