Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TSPAN13 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TSPAN13 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TSPAN13 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TSPAN13 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
SKCM are the cancer types where TSPAN13 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
