Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRPM5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 10 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TRPM5 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher TRPM5 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TRPM5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and GBM show a favorable association.

COAD, OV, and KIRP are the cancer types where TRPM5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
