Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRPC5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TRPC5 data layer compared with 12 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher TRPC5 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TRPC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as THCA and ESCA show a favorable association.

THCA, ACC, and CHOL are the cancer types where TRPC5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
