Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRMT44 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TRMT44’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where TRMT44 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TRMT44 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LIHC, COAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where TRMT44 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
