Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRIM55 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TRIM55 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TRIM55 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TRIM55 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and KIRP show a favorable association.
SKCM, KIRP, and BLCA are the cancer types where TRIM55 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
