Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRIM51BP RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TRIM51BP’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where TRIM51BP RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TRIM51BP is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, KIRC, and THCA are the cancer types where TRIM51BP tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
