Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TREM2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TREM2 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher TREM2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TREM2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
BRCA, LGG, and UCEC are the cancer types where TREM2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
