Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRBJ2-2P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 7 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TRBJ2-2P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where TRBJ2-2P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TRBJ2-2P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUSC and COAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, LUSC, and COAD are the cancer types where TRBJ2-2P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
