Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TRAV12-2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 27 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TRAV12-2 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TRAV12-2 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TRAV12-2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

HNSC, SKCM, and CESC are the cancer types where TRAV12-2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
