Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TPM3P9 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TPM3P9’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where TPM3P9 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TPM3P9 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, THCA, and STAD are the cancer types where TPM3P9 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
