Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TNFRSF11A RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TNFRSF11A data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher TNFRSF11A RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TNFRSF11A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as COAD and SKCM show a favorable association.
COAD, UVM, and KICH are the cancer types where TNFRSF11A RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
