Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMPRSS6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMPRSS6 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher TMPRSS6 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMPRSS6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

SCLC, KICH, and KIRP are the cancer types where TMPRSS6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
