Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMPRSS4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMPRSS4 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher TMPRSS4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMPRSS4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BRCA and UCEC are the cancer types where TMPRSS4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
