Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMPRSS11A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMPRSS11A data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher TMPRSS11A Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMPRSS11A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, LUSC, and ESCA are the cancer types where TMPRSS11A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
