TMPO

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMPO RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of TMPO’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where TMPO RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types TMPO is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, STAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where TMPO tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
