Across TCGA patient cohorts, TMIE protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 64 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TMIE-associated genes across cancer lineages are DKKL1, OPN4, and RGS22. Each is linked with TMIE in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TMIE-to-partner and partner-to-TMIE results are reported.
