Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM74 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM74 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher TMEM74 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM74 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC show a favorable association.
BLCA, CESC, and LUSC are the cancer types where TMEM74 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
