Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM67 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM67 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher TMEM67 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM67 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LSCC are the cancer types where TMEM67 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
