Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM63C Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM63C data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TMEM63C Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM63C expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
LUSC, HNSC, and SKCM are the cancer types where TMEM63C Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
