Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM59 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM59 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TMEM59 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM59 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, SKCM, and CESC are the cancer types where TMEM59 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
