Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM50B RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TMEM50B data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher TMEM50B RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM50B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and HNSC show a favorable association.
LUAD, STAD, and LGG are the cancer types where TMEM50B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
