Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM45B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM45B data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TMEM45B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM45B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUSC, and PRAD are the cancer types where TMEM45B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
