Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM43 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM43 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher TMEM43 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM43 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
OV, SKCM, and UCEC are the cancer types where TMEM43 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
