Across TCGA cell cohorts, TMEM40 RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 3,118 significant associations in total. SKIN shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible TMEM40-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Protein targeting to membrane, Regulation of metanephric mesenchymal cell migration by platelet-derived growth factor receptor-beta signaling pathway, and Positive regulation of metanephric mesenchymal cell migration. Each is linked with TMEM40 in more than 10 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both TMEM40-to-partner and partner-to-TMEM40 results are reported.
