Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM39A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM39A data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher TMEM39A mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM39A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.

UCEC, HNSC, and LSCC are the cancer types where TMEM39A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
