Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM33 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM33 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher TMEM33 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM33 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA and UCEC are the cancer types where TMEM33 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
