Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM255B RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TMEM255B data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher TMEM255B RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM255B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as DLBC and THCA show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRP, and LGG are the cancer types where TMEM255B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
