Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM255A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM255A data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher TMEM255A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM255A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, UCEC, and COAD are the cancer types where TMEM255A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
