Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM252 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM252 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher TMEM252 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM252 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LIHC, BLCA, and SKCM are the cancer types where TMEM252 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
