Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM223 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM223 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TMEM223 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM223 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC are the cancer types where TMEM223 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
