Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM218 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM218 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TMEM218 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM218 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC are the cancer types where TMEM218 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
