Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM209 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM209 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher TMEM209 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM209 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as OV show a favorable association.
OV, SKCM, and UCEC are the cancer types where TMEM209 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
