Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM184B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM184B data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TMEM184B Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM184B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM and ACC are the cancer types where TMEM184B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
