Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM18 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM18 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TMEM18 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM18 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LUSC, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where TMEM18 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
