Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM176A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM176A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher TMEM176A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM176A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SCLC, COAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where TMEM176A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
