Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM174 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TMEM174 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher TMEM174 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM174 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and KIRC show a favorable association.
UCEC, KIRP, and KIRC are the cancer types where TMEM174 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
