Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM170B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM170B data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher TMEM170B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM170B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC are the cancer types where TMEM170B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
