Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM170A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM170A data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher TMEM170A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM170A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BLCA, LIHC, and LGG are the cancer types where TMEM170A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
