Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM160 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM160 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher TMEM160 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM160 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRC and SKCM are the cancer types where TMEM160 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
