Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM159 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM159 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher TMEM159 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM159 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, LUSC, and ESCA are the cancer types where TMEM159 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
