Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM14B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM14B data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher TMEM14B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM14B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD are the cancer types where TMEM14B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
