Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM14A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM14A data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher TMEM14A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM14A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA and UCEC are the cancer types where TMEM14A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
