Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM139 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM139 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher TMEM139 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM139 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SKCM are the cancer types where TMEM139 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
