Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM138 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM138 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher TMEM138 Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM138 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
LUAD, ACC, and UCEC are the cancer types where TMEM138 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
