Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM123 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM123 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in sarcoma (SARC), where higher TMEM123 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM123 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
SARC and LUSC are the cancer types where TMEM123 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
