Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM121B RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated TMEM121B data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher TMEM121B RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM121B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and HNSC show a favorable association.

STAD, HNSC, and LGG are the cancer types where TMEM121B RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
