Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM120B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM120B data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher TMEM120B Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM120B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
UCEC, STAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where TMEM120B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
