Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM106A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM106A data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher TMEM106A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM106A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
KIRC are the cancer types where TMEM106A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
