Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, TMEM104 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated TMEM104 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher TMEM104 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated TMEM104 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
BRCA, LUAD, and COAD are the cancer types where TMEM104 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
